HOWARD SMITH

      


Howard Smith earned a B.A. and M.A. degrees from Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky; a certificate of Advanced Study in Education from the University of Alabama Birmingham; and doctoral studies at the University of Houston.
Smith was a basketball athlete at secondary, collegiate, military (Special Forces for Seventh Army Division) and professional levels (Kentucky Colonels-ABA and Harlem Globetrotters)
Smith was active military for 3 years (served in Dessert Shield / Dessert Storm) and Army Reservist for 19 years.
Howars Smith is active in community groups and organizations: Brookhollow Bapist Church, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc, Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Tri-Community Development Center, Texas High School Coaches Association and National Basketball Retired Players Association.
